Reminder: Mass will be held this Saturday, June 18th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, at Elba, at 6:30 p.m.

The South Loup River on Monday morning had a discharge of 262 cubic feet per second and height of 2.63 feet. The Middle Loup River’s discharge was at 1,230 cubic feet per second, with a height of 1.61 feet. We are starting to see more sand bars than we did on Sunday.

Thank you to the St. Paul Police Department for your help when my three-wheel bike was stolen, to everyone for their concern, and to those who have helped look for it. A special thank you to the amazing group of people who donated a new threewheeled bike to me since mine was stolen. I appreciate all the support from this wonderful community. Bob Christensen

I would like to thank everyone who sent me well wishes or attended my recent surprise retirement party. I was truly surprised and humbled. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends and family. I especially want to thank my beautiful wife Patti for all her efforts in putting this together. It can’t be easy to organize an event like this, let alone keeping this old man from finding out! Patti, I am so lucky to have you in my life, and I love you! Thanks again!
